Version Tags
Version tags let you label important versions with meaningful names, making it easy to find key milestones in your project history.
Available tags
MixRestore provides a curated set of tags designed for music production workflows:
- Draft — work in progress, early ideas
- Approved — signed off by collaborators or clients
- Final — the finished version
- Experimental — trying something risky or unusual
- Backup — a safety checkpoint before big changes
- Mix — a specific mix iteration
- Milestone — a significant point in the project's development
Adding a tag
- In the version history, hover over the version you want to tag
- Click the tag icon that appears
- Select a tag from the dropdown menu
Tags appear as colored pills next to the version entry. Each tag type has a distinct color for quick visual identification.
Removing a tag
Click the tag pill on a version to remove it. Tags can be freely added and removed without affecting the version content.
Filtering by tag
When your project has many versions, you can filter the history to show only tagged versions. This is useful for jumping between key milestones without scrolling through dozens of auto-saved versions.
